Is Barre Army Navy Store Closing it's retail store?

We recently received this feedback on Google Reviews. I wanted to address it because it raises some important issues about our retail store. I've included my response below. I hope people will share this because many people in the area think we've closed the store and we have great deals at 50% off the marked prices:

I used to love the place until they lied right before Christmas 2016 say they were going out of business everything was half off. But somehow they're still open. All they wanted to do was get rid of back stock inventory. Other than this Shady sales tactic I love the place and recommend it
Hi Marcus:

Hope you are well. I'm really sorry if we hurt your feelings.

We did indeed say that we were going to close our retail store and would just be online
after 1/1/17, but as I explained to you when you came in the store. We have deliveries and pickups
from ups, usps and fedex through out the day and have elected to be open 9-5 Monday through Friday.

In addition I think we need to mention how we got to that point last year. We had road construction
on the Berlin side of 302 last year from April through August when they were stopping traffic we had no one coming in the store.

We have road construction on the other side of us this year from here to the top of Washington St on route 302 which will do virtually the same thing. Things were very slow.

Whatwe came up with to counter that was a half price sale. We decided late last year that if we did things correctly we could give people a great deal, most items are at wholesale or slightly above that we could spur some interest and traffic.

So yes we have moved inventory. Unfortunately stores that do not do so do not last and the reality
is that the only reason that this store has survived the last two years is the determination and
financial resources of myself and my father.

But in the mean time we have gotten rid of some dead inventory, cut costs and are actually performing better online and in the store. I'm hopeful that we can continue but we really need your support.
