El Nino may be a doozy what does that mean?
First off, Scientists say "the waters of the Pacific are heating up and NOAA predicts that the el nino effect is strengthening". The effect tends to change wind and weather directions and pushes moisture into areas that might not normally see as much. It creates more cyclonic storms in the Pacific and decrease the storms in the Atlantic among other affects.
What we are forecast to see more of here in the United States is Wetter weather in the West and Cold and wet weather in the South. However there has been speculation that if you get a polar voretex mixed in with this wet weather you will also see more snow in some parts of the country.
