Barre Army Navy Store has two basic types of head nets the ones that are open on both ends and the ones that are fixed on one end and often have a ring in them to keep the bugs away from you http://www.vtarmynavy.com/Mosquito_head_nets.htm so if you are going to carry a head net it would be great if it would do more for you than just keep the bugs off.
First it is a great way to pre-filter water from bugs, leaves, sticks and heavy particulate. Just remember to clean out before you reuse or you'll end up with a mud facial.
Next is a laundry bag or clothing storage bag of course you may not want to store your dirty socks in one and have to use shortly after.
Third is as a dip bag in hot water for mess kits and utensils prior to use.
Fourth is as a pillow case.
What other uses could you come up with for your mosquito head net?
The idea for this article came from here http://www.scoutmastercg.com/2012/04/mosquito-net-as-a-multi-use-item/ I added a few variations but I'll bet there are a million more.
