The warm weather brings gardening, hiking and other outdoor activities. It also brings insects. Here in beautiful Barre, Vermont the first insects to hatch en mass are the black flies (usually in late April or early May) but last week I killed my first mosquito of 2012 here in our store.
I use insect repellent in season but may people prefer mosquito netting clothing as a more passive and less toxic approach to keeping the bugs from biting. One big hint is to not get pants or shirts that are tight so the the insects will land on the netting and bit through it.
