Chemically Treated Mosquito Nets

Mosquitoes and other insects carry many different forms of diseases. One of the tried and true methods of keeping insects away is mosquito netting.

In addition to mosquito nettings some nets are treated with permethrin which is an insecticide that one dry is not harmful to mammals and birds. Permethrin is a synthetically created chemical which is a neurotoxin. It is applied on the netting wet and allowed to dry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permethrin
